In this article, I will show you, the most easiest way to disable Gutenberg and use WordPress classic editor as your default editor.

In order to disable Gutenberg, we will have to use a ‘Disable Gutenberg’ plugin.  We will install this plugin by going to Plugins >> Add New and then we will enter disable Gutenberg in search keywords field and finally, the plugins will appear. Click on Install now button then activate this plugin.

After installing this plugin, we need to verify some settings so that our plugin will work perfectly. So for that, we will go to Settings >> Disable Gutenberg from the WordPress dashboard.

Here you need to ensure that Complete disable and disable nag both needs to be checked. Look at the image below for reference.

Now go to your pages or blog posts editor section. You will see that Gutenberg is replaced with the WordPress classic editor.
