Step 1. Go to Bluehost.com
To sign up, simply go to Bluehost.com
When you visit the homepage you will see “Get Started Now” on the left corner. By clicking on this you will go to step 2.
Step 2. Select a hosting plan
While selecting a hosting plan, always look at your requirements.
Are you creating a website for a personal blog? Or building a website for your large business?
Choose a plan, which perfectly matches your requirements.
In this guide, we will choose the “Basic” shared hosting plan. For beginners, who have just started a website that doesn’t have much traffic, always try the “Basic” plan first.
In the future, if you want to change your plan, you will always have the option to upgrade it.
Step 3. Create a Domain Name
For the first year, you will get a free domain name with all the plans.
Once you have selected your hosting plan, the next step is to create a domain name for your website.
After typing the domain name in “Creating a new domain” you will get a list of domain names. You can choose your domain ends with .com, .net, .org, etc. You can select the option of your choice.
If you already have a domain name, you can use that domain name instead of creating a new one. Enter your pre-existing domain name in the box on the right side.
Step 4. Create your Account
In the next step, you will be asked to fill out your personal. To make this process fast, you can also sign in with Google.
Re-check your package information to make sure you have filled everything correct. You can select the number of years you want, the minimum period is 12 months. But, if you choose the bigger plans you will get more discount.
Under the “package extras”, you will see optional extras and if you don’t want any of them, just leave the options unchecked.
Below this, you need to enter the payment details. If you don’t want to use a credit card, click on “more payment options”. Finally, click on “Submit” to make your purchase successful.
Step 5. Install WordPress on Bluehost

You can randomly select any theme and can change later.
Log in to Bluehost
- Log in to your new Bluehost account.
- Go to the My Sites
- Click the Create Site button in the top-right corner.
Add website information
The next step is to enter your website basic information including the site’s name, Tagline. Don’t worry about the names, you can edit and change them later.
Select domain name
Select the domain name and down below you will some free plugins, you can install them too.
